Two of Nintendo’s biggest icons are battling it out again.
In 2004, Mario and Donkey Kong’s on-going feud was rekindled with the release of Mario vs. Donkey Kong on the GameBoy Advance. Now in the series’ fourth game, Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem sees the two duke it out in a new environment when it lands in stores around Australia on Thursday. Like previous games in the series, this latest entry sticks closely to the formula of guiding a group of miniature-Marios up the level towards the dastardly ape.
It’s a fairly quiet week for releases, with only two other games coming out. Lord of Arcana from Square Enix is a Monster Hunter-like action game, while Dance Junior by Ubisoft is essentially a child-friendly version of Just Dance. Def Jam Rapstar was originally slated for release this week, but Konami’s Aussie distributor–Mindscape–confirmed to GameSpot AU that the game has been pushed back a week to February 10.
